The table is very nice, but I guess I assumed it would be a self storing butterfly. There was one piece that if we screwed it in, we would not be able to take the leaf out...it was most confusing to us to put the thing together. We just didn't screw the one piece in in all four places...just 2 places on either end and it works with taking the leaf out and storing it(we have 4 screws left over so I know they were supposed to be screwed in) It would have been nice to have written directions,rather than just pictures, it would have things a LOT clearer. I would given it more 1 star if the directions had been better and 1 more star if directions for care for the wood was included
