Setting up was fairly easy. It has a 2 inch inlet and outlet and the standard pipes coming from the pump and the pool is 1.5 inch so you'll need some kind of reducer. the bigger inlet/outlet does allow more water to flow into the filter so it's supposed to be more efficient but i can't tell the difference yet. The filter also allows you to put in a 100Sq feet filter and i recommend buying it as you can switch between the 2 filters. Cleaning it is a breeze, just shut off the pump, open the air valve and twist the cover open. Rinse it and put it back in. It is recommended to let it dry before putting it back. It's a fairly simple piece of equipment and i doubt you'd have any problems. I definitely recommend it.
