Always looking for ways to spruce up our work in progress sun room, it was a no brainer to jump at the opportunity to test drive this GloDea sideboard table. Out of the box, this unfinished pine table comes partially assembled. Hardware, tools and instructions are included. Weighing in at 48 lbs and measuring 55"L x 16"W x 33"H its not going to be the piece of furniture that gets moved around a lot.

Assembly took a little bit more time then I thought it would. One big help is liquid soap. After lightly coating the steel rods the maneuvering through the wooden openings got somewhat easier. Unlike other wood products that I've assembled, hardware and hole alignment was not an issue. Another problem that I've encountered on other wood pieces is bowing. I found absolutely no bowing. When assembled it is a sturdy piece of furniture. Its one of the few still made in the U.S.A.

I like the overall design of this table. Its an all wood product with absolutely no fillers. Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Being that this table is made of natural wood there is some knotting. Some will find the knotting beautiful while others will find it ugly. Being that its unfinished, I opted to stain this piece to match up with our other furnishings. I went with my old standby, Minwax Sedona Red. The wood was thirsty. After a few coats the table looks amazing.

This sturdy piece saw first hand action Wednesday night as our sun room buffet table. With its good depth and height, this attractive table services well and certainly out performed our older table. We had zero issues with stability. Even with the assembly problems I addressed earlier, the folks at Florida based GloDea did a great job on the table's modern design. It is indeed a durable piece of furniture that when properly maintained will last a very long time.
