The SmartPool 9i is better than the Aquabot Turbo T2 and the Eco Jet. I have owned them all.

This is why I think this:

The 9i climbs the wall every time it hits it. The Turbo T2 only once in a while the Eco jet NEVER.

Filter bag is larger and though the Aquabot says they have the largest (which they might)
the design of the unit doesn't allow you to fill the bag. The motor is in the way.

The 9i filter bag is easier to clean, remove, and reinstall. THIS IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE

The 9i comes out of the box ready to use. the Aquabot wants you to figure out how much foam flotation to add so it will climb walls. (never right in different depths.

The Aquabot wants you to place it in the pool upside down and get all the air bubbles out. The 9i you just toss it in and it goes.

The 9i price is cheaper for comparable product of the Turbo T2.

The only negative thing I can say is that the cord is not on a swivel and it will twist over the 3 hour cleaning cycle. You must unplug it and untwist it. I don't remember the Aquabot doing this. I called SmartPool about this and they said they are working on a swivel cord but as of July 2013 they have not found one to be durable enough to meet their standards.

I have a hand carved Gunite pool and is very irregular in shape. the 9i climbed the steps and the walls without a problem. I have a lot of trees so leaves are a problem and the 9i keeps my pool looking great.
I would recommend the 9i over the Aquabot and from what I can tell the Dolphin too, although I have not owned a Dolphin it appears to be like the Aquabot.
