Panacea Products 89415 15-Inch Black Straight Hanging Plant Bracket - Quantity 12 Planter, Bracket & Hook Review

I own several of these to hang bird feeders around the yard. They are variously screwed to trees, fence 4x4s and fence pickets. I bought them at Walmart for about 30% less than those sold here on Amazon. The paint on the Panacea brackets has held up incredibly well over the past 3 years. I have no paint flaking or rusting after three years of use. However, I did get considerable rust on the screw heads of the mounting screws that came with the Panacea brackets. After a year or so, I switched to a coarser thread outdoor screw that hasn't rusted.

I own both the Panacea brackets and Green Esteem brackets (Green Esteem 36128 10-Inch Forged Angled Bracket for Plants or Green Esteem 36129 15-Inch Forged Angled Bracket for Plants). I think they might be made by the same manufacturer in China. Except for the style, they look like identical manufacturing processes.

Pros:
Black paint is hearty
Solid, forged iron. I'd guess it could easily hold 50 pounds without bending.
Comes in a matching 6-inch version. (Panacea 89406 Forged Straight Hook, Black, 6-Inch)

Con:
Cheaper at Walmart.
The included screws are beefy but have a fine, shallow thread, so they don't work very well in trees or fences, and they might not even hold well in house lumber. I felt that the shallow thread allowed them to pull out too easily. The phillips screw heads are also a bit shallow, so it's easier to strip them during install. I use a coarse thread decking screw instead and it works very well.
